1981 Porsche 928 with 106,833 Miles

The 928 is a front engine, grand touring 2+2 hatchback coupe manufactured by Porsche from 1977 through 1995. It was designed to blend the performance and handling of a sports car with the comfort, spaciousness and ride quality of a luxury car. Not only was it water cooled but it was also Porsche’s first model with a V8 that enabled it to achieve remarkable top speeds which helped it to earn the title European Car of the Year by Autocar in 1980. This particular example is powered by its original 4.5L V8 which uses a single overhead camshaft and produces 229hp. It was just recently completely tuned-up by a master tech who changed many of the seals and gaskets and also inspected the timing belt and verified it is in good shape. At the same time the brakes pads and lines were changed, the calipers were rebuilt and all of the rotors were turned. The A/C was just converted to R134 and it blows ice cold. The interior was updated with racing seats up front and a rear seat delete in the rear as well as a double-din touch screen stereo with BT and back-up camera. The car is an absolute blast to drive and has a great rumble that could only come from a V8. The speedometer works but is erratic, the high beams and fog lights are currently not working, everything else is in perfect order including the sunroof. It was recently repainted but unfortunately the paint is only of average quality. Over all this is an above average quality driver that is very reliable and fun to drive. Based on its present condition we would classify this as a number 3 car and as such would appraise it $20,400 based on the current JD Power values. We are serious about finding it a new home and have priced it accordingly so if you could see this timeless classic in your collection we encourage you to contact us before it is too late!
